On VZW you can share the voice plan, but not the data plan. We have four lines on one voice plan (me, wife, daughter x 2), two of which are Qs. However, each Q has its own data plan.

I believe you can add a smartphone to your plan (if you already have a smartphone) for an additional $40. This will basically just take your plan and apply it to the second phone. Both phones will have the same data, text, etc, and SHARE your minutes. It's really not a bad deal if you ask me.

I may be off with the pricing, as I got this quoted to me about a month ago from an in-store Alltel rep.

my wife and i both have q w/ alltell. we are sharing the minutes, but as coredevil said, for an extra $39.99 each month, we both have unlimited data and messaging w/ their "smart choice plan." this is as of about a week ago.

Yep same here. I have the cheapest family smart plan, with two q's. The second gets unlimited data and is $40/month. I also have two LG8600's on there for $20/month each. All share 500 minutes/month.

So...the first q is $70/month for unlimited data and a share of the 500 mins. The second q is $40/month for unlimited data and a share of the 500 mins. Divide that cost evenly between the two q's and it works out pretty good. Same as I was paying with VZW for a regular phone with a regular cheap plan and a few extra bucks for texting.

Seems like a good deal to me.
