I received that message a few days ago too. However, I have spent all morning trying to get my US Cellular Q to hold on to the correct time. I've downloaded and installed all the patches etc. as outlined here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...g/default.mspx
The problem is that I am in the Central Time Zone, but every so often (and so far I cannot figure out what the interval or precipitating event is), my phone resets itself to Mountain Time Zone and sets everything back one hour ...not just the stated time on the phone, but also my calendar appointments are moved back (so that a 3:00 pm appt. is changed to say it starts at 2:00 pm). I also noticed that all the Birthdays in my calendar were moved back a day (so a birthday set on the 16th shows as being on the 15th). I have gone through and tried to correct everything several times, but then "boom"...Mountain Time starts up again and the appts change...I am very frustrated.

More Info: I have found that if I go to settings, more, more, Phone Settings, Clock and Time Zone and set "clock update" to Manual. It will hold the correct time. But, if you have to remove the battery, the clock/date will reset to Jan 1, 2003. I have also found that when the phone resets itself to the Mountain Time zone, it is not resetting the actual time displayed, but resetting all my appt. in the calendar. So that when I go to start, settings, clock and alarm, to reset the Time Zone, when I switch Back to Central time...it bumps the clock ahead an hour to the wrong time (but right Zone), but corrects my calendar appt. back to the correct time.
I called a local US Cell store and the agent said to set that area to Automatic, but when I do...I immediately start having the reset to Mountain Time issue again. I am still unable to determine what is causing it. It is not a time interval as it has happened within 5 minutes of correcting it...and it has held for as long a half an hour before reverting to Mountain time. It seems like it happens faster when I'm actively using the phone - just checking through the menus, etc, than when I leave it alone.
I know this is all very confusing to try to explain...imagine how frustrated I am trying to nail down what all is going on!
Yet more info: This will be my final description ;) So...I have Outlook set to the right time zone (central), time, all appointments correct...that never changes. I sync with the Q. All is well. Within 15 minutes the Q just suddenly changes to Mountain time...I know this because the appointment on the home screen suddenly changes time, BUT, the main "clock" on the home screen doesn't change - still reads Central time. I sync again with Outlook. Then the main "clock" changes to Mountain time. Then I can go in and change the time zone on the Q to Central time and both the clock and the appt. will change to the right times. But within about 15 min ...the whole cycle starts again. This is bad. Yes, it can be circumvented by setting the Q to manual rather than automatic sensing of the correct time and zone, but I shouldn't have to. I still think it's USCC sending my Q the wrong time zone info. I have done the *228 code to make sure I'm using my local tower. There is a problem that goes deeper. Okay...I'm done. Will be curious to see if anybody else experiences anything like this.
