I have to ask, did you not know this (that USCC got the original version of the Q, like Sprint and Alltel) when you walked into the US Cellular store and laid down your money? If so, then shame on you! Also, did you buy it outright, or with a commitment? Mine was pretty cheap.
The phone has the latest software released by Motorola for this phone (MOL3 I believe). There currently are no updates, just as there were no updates for the first Verizon Q's for several months after it was initially released.
If you want the latest .NET framework, it's pretty much a "no-brainer" to install it.
I'm guessing that nobody held a gun to your head, forcing you to get this phone, so I am not sure why you are whining (and shouting as well) now.
I have heard nothing of US Cellular getting the newer Q9m, either in the near or even distant future, so this is as good as it's probably going to get for the forseeable future.
