When I set it up in WMP 11, the Moto Q9m showed up as a device in the library (with about 52.3MB free) but there was another item in the list which was the storage card that was inserted in the Q9m (which showed 3.8GB free). I renamed the storage card something I could remember (like Moto Q 4GB Storage Card) and created a list of items to sync with it.

That should work ...
