So you can install the WM SDKs with the Express editions? That's good news. I'd been wondering about that but haven't had the time to check it out. (I want to do some hobbyist programming so I'm not keen on shelling out money to buy software so I can write my own.

Surely Visual Studio can compile source code!? Or did you just mean that you aren't aware of any standalone compilers that would make it possible to do WM development without VS?
