you need active sync..or if you have vista use microsoft mobile device center..both can be found here www.windowsmobile.com
you dont need a corporate email account or anything...just plug in the phone via the usb cable and you should be prompted to set up active sync once you have it installed...
make sure its the most current version...version 4.5
