I have tried to duplicate this on my Q but it doesn't seem to want to work. Does anyone have any suggestions? On the active sync I am placing the web address myoffice.xxxxxx.com, when it tries to connect it is trying on myoffice.xxxxxx.com/MYUSERNAME. If I type the same thing in online it will restrict access, I need to just type in myoffice.xxxxxx.com then enter username and password. Would someone kindly advise? |
Hi there,
If you are using activesync for exchange you have three things you need to know.
1) You server name, the address you use to access email on your phone, sometimes the same address as outlook web access.
2) Your user name: this one is easy
3) Your domain name: this is the name of your corporate network domain. It is sometimes the same as your email extension (the stuff after the @ sign), but not neccessarily. If you are logging into a windows computer at work, this is the name underneath where you put your password in, it is something that does not change.
I too was a palm/versalink user about 4 months ago and had the same setup. I believe on the palm I used domain_name\username in the username field on versalink ( if that helps). If your company is small and only has a single domain, you may be able to leave the domain name field blank and it will still work.
Hope that helps, let us know how it works out.
PS if you want to move over contacts from the 650, I linked the two devices using bluetooth and sent the entire contacts folder with no issues.
