go to Start>Settings>Connections>USB to PC> and uncheck the box next to "Enable Advanced Network Functionality

my brother on t-mobile opted for a Dash (a.k.a. the HTC Excaliber) and he is VERY DISPLEASED WITH THAT PHONE.... I told him so but he wouldnt listen!
