Hey folks,
I'm currently using an LG Voyager (terrible decision) but I want to switch to a Q9C.
I'm currently on a three-line 1400minute Family Share Plan Premium. 2 Lines (mine and my brother's) get the Premium features (Vcast Vpak, Mobile Email, etc etc) and the 3rd line is just the simple Select for $9.99.
Of course, the Unlimited Data that I get from the VPak doesn't apply to Smartphones, so if I switch, I've got to juggle my account some.
I spoke with a VZW CSR today and was told the best thing for me to do would be to drop my line down to the select option and then add the smartphone data plan. Of course, having researched, I told him that I wanted the Pocket Outlook capabilities, and the CSR told me that I would have to get the $45/mo plan to use that. I, of course, knew all of this before I asked.
I guess I have the following questions for you all:
- First, is what the CSR told me about Pocket Outlook correct?
- Second, I would lose VZ Navigator in this. I probably use it once or twice a month. And, of course, stupid VZW restricts this phone's GPS capability to only VZ Navigator.
- Is there a better way to divide up the account to save money? We're talking about three lines here. One line doesn't need anything but a few minutes to make some calls. The second line wants to keep the Vpak/Vcast stuff. My line (the third) wants to get unlimited data. Would it be cheaper to split up the account into multiple accounts? Would money be saved?
Keep in mind that I'm a broke college kid. Is it worth it to have all this stuff? I'm really busy on most days, and very involved in my school. The ability to send/receive emails easily (as compared to the awful Mobile Email 2.0) and the ability to have a good working Calendar/Appointment application (as compared to the terrible LG Voyager) are very enticing.
I really hate how VZW really comes up with creative ways to squeeze out the extra bucks from their customers.
