I just bought my daughter a LG ENV2 for her graduation. Bought a 2 gig memory card. Formated the card in the phone. Have music on the PC, that I want to put on the card, and then onto the phone.
Windows Media Player on PC; put the card into the card adapter, put adapter into PC slot. I am able to sync the song onto card.
NOW WHAT!!!???
When I put the card back into phone, there is no songs/music/media etc...
Verizon says this is due to DMR (digital media rights???). This music is from CD's that I own. Phone should read mp3 and wma format (song is in mp3 format).
Verizon says I needed VCast Manager. Ok, I put that on the PC. All music is now in Windows Media Player, and is duplicated in the VCast manager.
In the VCast Manager, there is no way to "sync" to the card, says I must connect the phone via USB cable. Of course, I don't have the correct size USB cable, which can be purchased separately, as the Music Essential Kit.
(Supposedly, Verizon is sending this to me free, but that is a whole other story, and I won't have it until at least next week...) WHY can't I put music from the VCast Manager onto a card?!? Verizon tech support says it's because it requires a card reader, which is something they don't support?!?
Again, I can get music onto the card from WMP. I just can't get the phone to recognize it....!!!!
AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
Anyone have any suggestions (BESIDES waiting for the Music Essentials Kit???)
Thanks in advance, and sorry this is sooo long! |
My son just downloads his music from the web he hasnt tried to do it via the computer. sorry
