I should modify my statement. They are not losing, but are not gaining at the same rate as in previous years. Not necessarily to corporate yet because of the money companies spent shelling out big bucks for BB's.
More and more people don't want to carry two devices, but they were using a regular flip phone for calls and a BB strictly for email purposes. Now I know many in NYC and Philly who grew tired of this and wanted one device.
This is where WM and the iphone comes into play.
1) companies are tired of relying on one companie's servers to push their mail.
2) employees want more multimedia friendly handsets.
Why all of a sudden cameras on a BB? Why did Verizon team up with BB to have a 30.00 month non corporate data plan. They will remain on top, but are being seriously challenged by Apple. WM not so much and palm, well we all know what is going on or not going on with palm.
RIM is moving its units at a snails pace right now compared to wm devices.
