If you call Sprint and ask for it, they should give you your MSL with no probems. Just be polite
I called, got mine, and did the GPS tweak you are interested in doing. Honestly, I wouldn't bother. I found no improvement in aquiring a GPS lock, and it may have slowed things down. After I did a master reset (for other reasons), I didn't bother reapplying the hack. It's not like it will give you a signal in a place where you cannot receive sattelite coverage, it just may lock faster. I didn't find that to be the case for me.
