I've never been able to add this feature to any other HS than the Sprint defauslt. and yes, it appears to require resetting it when you add a shortcut. Not too much of a handicap to have this feature without purchasing Facade.
Another thread had a comment stating to add the shortcut plugin to another HS, but I haven't gotten to tha level of modifications yet.
