A question regarding my AT&T Moto Q Global........while on a call and listening to somebody speaking, any noise picked up through my mouthpiece reduces my ear-piece volume to virtually nothing.......is this normal?

This makes for very choppy conversations. Is there a setting somewhere that lessens the mouthpiece's sensitivity......is this a full duplex phone?
