are you kidding? the screen is refreshed constantly because
everything on the screen is changing as the kart moves. We're lucky we can get Doom running on Q's, and even that runs slow as hell from what I've read, and remember that came out in 1993:

So our Q's can't even keep up with PCs from 1993. It'll never run a game from a console that came out in 1996.
Our Q's are equivalent to late 80's PCs.
