I would say if only for looks...then buy something that appeals to you.
BigRed has several "smartphones" and they all do what you need. I think you'll find the biggest difference is WindowsMobile OS is much easier if you use a windows PC. But if your used to Palmcrap then you could choose a smartphone w/that on it. Otherwise, pick one that will get you the ladies and you'll be all good!
