Hi,
Since you have both the Euro and AT&T version maybe you can help me..
I have EURO and AT&T and now using it in South East Asia.
It seems that my EURO phone can use here with voice calls 3G and HSDPA working perfectly. However, i cannot use the GPS. Does Q phone (euro version) have GPS?
My AT&T has been unlocked and can be use for voice calls. However, it does not seems to recognize any 3G/HSDPA line in ASIA. So i cannot use any GPS function since it required Data connection (voice calls works fine).
Is there any way i can change the 3G frequency on AT&T or possibly flash the rom into European version.??
Thanks..

If you have an "E" for EDGE or "G" for GPRS, you will be able to connect immediately.
I have both Euro and AT&T Q9h's. (I have flashed a few different ROM's to the Euro Q and I think the current one is a Chinese version.)
I just put my AT&T SIM into the Euro Q, entered the usual GPRS settings in Connections > Settings > GPRS (using CHAP as authentication type) and immediately connected and completed a search with Google through Opera.
If you don't have the E or G symbol, look to your Band options. Make sure that your phone has the 850/1900 available. "Automatic" will be OK if the 850/1900 are available as options. |
