was gonna say, it sounds like an automatic body response to being in the car with your wife...it happens in males mostly...its a defense system to prevent any of the following symptoms:
nagging
complaining about directions (nagging)
comments on how you looked at that chick in the mall (nagging)
yelling at you on how you treated your inlaws (nagging)
