Sometimes  , I think that some issues society has can be attributed to rewarding people just for trying and not accomplishing anything other than trying. Leading people to believe that just trying is good enough, no other effort is required. People want things without earning them. Kind of along the lines of people who want to lose weight, but don't want to exercise (work) for it. Just want instant weight loss through a pill, nothing else. |
Winning should definitely be celebrated, but winning at all costs? From my understanding the home run in question helped the team win. So if the opposing team stood by and didn't help and went on to win should that win have be celebrated to?
I think my question makes sense!
