sorry, i guess i posted again because it didn't seem like anybody was responding to the last one. looks like my plan worked since you responded within ten minutes!
anyway, that's still 40-50 dollars I don't need to spend if my phone can almost do the same thing without a bluetooth adapter. if it's not possible it's not possible, but i figured it was worth a shot. i'm a poor college student so i don't have much money to spend on luxuries like not having to hold your phone to your face while driving...
the wired headset sort of defeats the purpose because i'm interested in plugging the phone into the car stereo, both so that i can listen to music with the phone and have the phone pause the music when someone calls and all that good stuff you get with a bluetooth adapter, only for a bit less money. Also, i often drive across the state which takes about 6 hours, and i'd imagine using bluetooth to stream music and take calls would drain the battery pretty quick when used for that amount of time...
edit** also i wasn't looking for a headset, the pioneer bluetooth adapter is 100 dollars or more (for the car stereo)
