I've asked USC multiple times & every time they say no, I cannot cancel the data service (had mine since Oct.07) ... they said they used to let people do it w/ the blackberry but then the phone spent so much time searching for the data signal that it caused the phone to slow down, customers complained, so they stopped letting people cancel data services.
