I have NOT yet done the registry hack so doing so may solve the problem but I am curious since (at least to me) there seems to be two schools of thought about getting custom sounds/ringtones on the Q9h.
I admit to being in the dark about this since my previous WinMo 6 phone (T-Mobile Dash) pretty much took any and every MP3/Wav file I threw at it.

Yes, you can use MP3's if you do the registry hack. And there are no dumb questions! Good luck!
