I have the Moto Q as well and I asked the same question. I guess this was me being smart with the verizon rep. But when asked the first time they told me I could not use the phone as I had to have a data plan tacked on to my exsisting plan. So that was 69.99+9.99+10.00+10.00+44.99=144.97+ tax and gov't fee which I was willing to pay. So I asked them if I could go without that 44.99 data plan charge and the rep told me no, I could use this smart phone as a reg phone. Well after calling back (being frustrated I hung up) and speaking to someone with since I was told I could use the pay as you go data plan. Thats what I got its supposed to be 0.15/kbps, but due to the fact that I have a DSL connection at home and a T1 line at work I have them block data usage on the phone. Hope this helps! |
