I sent Alltel Tech Support an email b/c there is so much debate (& hope) about them "updating" so the Moto Q's can use MMS (Picture Messaging) here and on other forums. Here is the response I got:
I apologize for the issues you're having with the MotoQ. At this time, I'm not aware of any updates to the Q or to the network to allow MMS services; the only Windows Mobile smartphone which does MMS is the HTC PPC6800 as well as all subsequent smartphones. To my knowledge, the issue is a conflict between the devices and our MMS vendor (Ericsson) which is why MMS is not present on those devices. Thank You, Alltel Data Tech Support
My hope is that when the other "smart" phones come out I have enough $$ to get 2! (One for hubby-can't leave him out!). I miss MMS. I don't like the lies the Alltel Rep. told us when she was selling us these phones. ("Oh Yes! They Do Picture Messaging!"). I've started a new hope: who ever responded didn't know what he/she was talking about. Still holding onto that silly "hope thing"
