Well you need the unlimited text if you are going to want to get on the internet on your phone and the unlimited is just $10 a month so thats the only way it wiill affect your bill. Personally I call customer support on a seperate phone to activate a new phone because they dont charge and the sales reps do which is bs in my opinion. For some reason Alltel doesnt offer MMS on the Q I dont know why, but i think they might someday soon. I bought my Q in August on Ebay from a business called MonsterMart they sell a lot of Q's I havent had any problems and I truly love it.
