SURE
You will need drivers for the motoQ first. You can download those from my website www.cpfxwireless.com
Then you will need the program that does the flashing. That will be a Motorola RSD(remote software download) lite. This I do not have on my site so you will have to google it. I will have it available on my site soon, but for now I am way to busy to work on it.
Then most of the people will not tell you this, but you will need to have a MS HotSync installed on your computer as well. It helps, trust me.
Once you have installed everything you will need to connect the phone to the computer by USB cable only and then you will be prompted to install the drivers. There are 6-7 drivers that need to be installed. For this the phone needs to be on. If your phone is in the bootloader then the computer will install only one driver for a bootloader. It`s ok it will still work, but it will install the drivers after the phone is flashed.
The way to get the phone into the bootloader is: Take the battery out. Wait 3-4 seconds. Put the battery back in. Press and HOLD A-key and ENTER-key. Press power button. There will be a black screen with the bootloader information on it. If the phone for some reason doesn`t get to the bootloader, try this: Take the battery out, put it back in, press and hold the 2 keys I told you about earlier, plug the usb cable in and then try to power it up.
Then I will asume that you have a monter flash file for whatever carrier you need. It`s more then likely zipped, so you will have to unzip it. Unzipping it will get the file ready for the use.
After all this is is done you need to start the Motorola RSD lite and on the upper part of the screen there is a small box. It doesn`t say anything, but it is used as a browsing tool so you can load the file into the program. Choose your file. The file extensions you will see may be .SXH .SBF and .HS
SHX and SBF are the flash files Use those
HS is a flex file you do not use this one
click start and relax for a little while. Do Not Disconnect the phone while flashing it. Also make sure that you have at least 3 bars on the battery meter, otherwise you may Brick the phone.
I will try to work on uploading some stuff on my web site this long weekend and I will post it to this forum when done. I am planing to make available for everyone the compilation of the most up to date tools for flashing, drivers and few other usefull programs all in one place so people do not have to spend daays trying to find the stuff on the web. Yes it will be free for all.
I hope this helped
