According a forum member Moto Maniac who works as an engineer for Motorola, there will not be another Moto Q. The same story was also confirmed by another Motorola engineer. Everything Q has contacted Motorola for confirmation, but there is no official word on the status of the Q. The last known release is the Moto Q11 and that has been limited to outside of the US, although it was expect to make a December release in the US. Rumors of a Verizon release of the Moto Q codenamed "Napoleon" never came to fruition, despite photos of what appears to be a production model showing up in July of 2008.

A new phone being called Moto Renew appears on a leaked T-Mobile release sheet for Winter handset releases. This could be nothing more than a pedestrian cellphone, but perhaps it's the first of a new line of Moto smartphones. Could Motorola surprise us all with an early Android release? Is this a shipping version of the Calgary or Rush? We should find out more next week during CES. Stay tuned.

Things have been relatively quiet, but it appears Motorola has been hard at work on their next generation of smartphones. A group of smartphones are scheduled to hit Verizon Wireless in 2009 and represent a major departure from the Moto Q. No specifications were included, but more than a few photos that are worthy of excitement courtesy of BGR. The codenames for these new phones are Flash, Rush 2 and  Calgary.

When it rains, it pours. More photos have surfaced of the new Motorola smartphones codenamed Attila and Alexander. It was just days ago that we saw rumored photos and specs for Attila. Expectations are these new Moto smartphones will release sometime in 2009. UPDATE: According to DigiTimes, Compal Communications has received orders for two Windows Mobile-based PDA phones, codenamed the Alexander and Attila, from Motorola. Both phones support 3.5G and WiFi. Alexander features a slide-out keyboard. Both Alexander and Attila feature an iPhone-like touch panel. More importantly, these phones appear to be set for a Q1 2009 release.

A few months back, there were leaked specification sheets for an upcoming Motorola smartphone dubbed Attila. Photos have leaked today courtesy of PhoneHK of what appears to be Motorola's Attila smartphone.
